WooThemes have launched a cracking new WordPress theme this week called FaultPress. FaultPress is a highly advanced WordPress theme that transforms WordPress from a publishing platform into a full featured trouble ticketing system. This certainly isn’t a new concept. We’ve seen the Quality Control theme late last year, but what is interesting about FaultPress is the skill and attention to detail in it’s execution.
Some key highlights:
HTML5/CSS3 – A lot of work has gone into creating a wonderful looking UI for FaultPress
Responsive Web Design – This is a biggy. I’ve played around with FaultPress on both the iPad and iPhone and the responsive design execution is wonderful. We’ve not seen a lot of WordPress themes yet ...

We missed this last week but thought it was really worth a shout today. WooThemes created a wonderful illustration of their take on the WordPress theme ecosystem. The illustration is called “WooVille” and features a run down of who’s who in the WordPress theme world. It’s clear a lot of time and effort went into creating this. I absolutely love it – it shows the true creativity of the WooTheme team outside of just theme development which is cool.
I’m sure some theme shops may take offence at their representation in WooVille but they really shouldn’t. I love that there is a Starbucks on the ground floor of StudioPress HQ – I’m sure Brian loved it ...

WooThemes have just launched an absolutely incredible WordPress theme called Listings.
Quite simply, this is the single most impressive WordPress theme I’ve ever seen.
The WooThemes guys have clearly invested a huge amount of time and effort to create a very special theme.
Actually, calling it a theme is a bit of an understatement.
In my opinion, Listings takes WordPress itself to a whole new level.
How?
Listings exploits more recently added WordPress features like no other theme has done to date; namely Custom Post Types and Taxonomies. I’ve been waiting for one of the big boys of theme development to release something like this and it’s no surprise that it’s WooThemes who have been the first to release a theme ...

Some great news for the WordPress Themes community to start off this week.
WooThemes have launched a new WooCodex resource for all WooThemes customers.
Essentially the WooCodex provides WooThemes customers with an excellent resource for extending their own custom functionality within their chosen WooThemes wordpress theme.
One good example would be the addition of new additional Theme Options which you may have thought about but are not sure how to go about implementing.
This one is hot off the presses so expect more news from WooThemes as they extend the codex in the coming weeks and months.
I guess the guys in WooThemes have given up on sleeping in 2010 and will just keep on churning out the good stuff ...

I was doing some googling this evening and stumbled across this ad:
I was immediately suspicious. Perhaps this is a WooThemes affiliate who has a special deal directly with WooThemes?
Not so it would seem. Bundlethemes looks to be selling a bundle of 46 WooThemes themes and using the GPL to make it legit. Here’s a screenshot of their sales page.
And here’s a direct quote from that sales page:
How can I legally offer this? Simple. It’s kind of WooThemes dirty little secret. They have released everything they publish under the GPL license. This is the same license WordPress itself is given away free under. GPL gives the buyer full rights to use, edit and redistribute the product ...
